By accessing or using Scentmarked, you agree to these Terms of Use and to use the service lawfully. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Accounts

You are responsible for information submitted through your account, maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, and activity performed through your account. Do not misuse another person's account or create accounts for unlawful, deceptive or abusive purposes.

Fragrance information and recommendations

Scentmarked provides fragrance information, comparisons and personalized discovery tools. Notes, accords, performance reports, prices, similarity results and recommendations can vary by source, retailer, data availability and individual perception. Match scores and recommendations are informational estimates and are not guarantees of satisfaction, performance or purchasing outcomes.

Clone and similarity classifications

A similarity, possible-clone or community-comparison label does not necessarily mean a manufacturer has described one product as a clone or inspiration of another. Scentmarked may distinguish manufacturer-supported relationships from possible or community-reported relationships according to available evidence.

Community contributions

You remain responsible for ratings, reviews, comparison votes and other material you submit. Do not submit unlawful, threatening, abusive, deceptive, defamatory, privacy-invasive, spam, infringing or otherwise prohibited material. By submitting content for publication through Scentmarked, you grant Scentmarked a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, format and distribute that contribution as reasonably necessary to operate, moderate and promote the service. You retain ownership rights you otherwise hold in your contribution.

Moderation and accounts

Scentmarked may investigate, restrict, remove or refuse community material and may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, rights holders or legal compliance. The Community Guidelines form part of the rules for participation.

Affiliate links and third-party purchases

Scentmarked may earn commissions from qualifying retailer links. Retailers are independent third parties and control their own prices, inventory, fulfillment, returns, warranties and purchase terms. Scentmarked is not the seller merely because a retailer link appears on a fragrance page. See the Affiliate Disclosure for more information.

Intellectual property

Scentmarked's original site design, software, organization, branding and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party brand names, fragrance names, trademarks, logos and imagery remain the property of their respective owners or licensors. Their appearance does not by itself imply affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement.

Prohibited use

Do not interfere with site security or operation; scrape or access the service in a manner that imposes unreasonable load or violates applicable restrictions; introduce malicious code; attempt unauthorized access; impersonate others; manipulate ratings or reviews deceptively; or use Scentmarked to violate law or third-party rights.

Availability and changes

Scentmarked may add, modify, suspend or discontinue features and may correct catalog information. The service is provided on an as-available basis and uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Scentmarked disclaims warranties not expressly provided in these terms. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Scentmarked will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Rights that cannot lawfully be waived or limited remain unaffected.

Changes to these terms

Scentmarked may update these terms as the service evolves. The date above identifies the current posted version. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
