The weights shown in each Match breakdown are the weighted components used to calculate that result's base score. A matching saved fragrance-presentation preference can then add a bounded +4-point adjustment, shown separately in the breakdown. For signed-in members, ScentMarked resolves recent More Like This or Less Like This feedback, strong or low ratings, and favorite status into one current taste signal per fragrance; newer evidence wins, with explicit feedback preferred when timestamps tie. That resolved signal can apply a bounded +5 or −5 ordering adjustment. Repeated positive note and accord patterns learned from those resolved signals can add a separate boost capped at +4 for close matches. Owned and Want collection states remain small ordering signals. None of these personal ordering signals change the displayed match percentage. Among otherwise close results, ScentMarked may diversify the recommendation shelf by brand and leading accord profile so one narrow scent cluster does not dominate; candidates more than 8 adjusted ranking points behind are not promoted by this diversity pass. Missing community performance data does not count against a fragrance, and retailer availability does not increase recommendation scores.
